IBP Davao Welcomes New Lawyers in Oathtaking and Pinning Ceremony

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) – Davao City Chapter formally welcomed the newest members of the legal profession during the Orientation, Oathtaking, and Pinning Ceremony held on February 27, 2026 at Arcadia Event Center, Davao City.
The event gathered members of the local legal community to welcome the new generation of lawyers in Davao City, who officially joined the IBP Davao City Chapter. The program included an orientation on the role of the IBP, professional responsibilities, and opportunities for service within the legal profession.
The program began with welcome remarks and the introduction of IBP officers by Chapter President Atty. Ferdinand M. Taglucop, followed by the roll call of new members by Secretary Atty. Gene Pedmon Geocaniga. The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Hon. Marie Estrellita S. Tolentino-Rojas, 1st Executive Judge of the RTC of Davao City, after which the pinning ceremony formally welcomed the new lawyers into the IBP Davao City Chapter. Informative sessions followed, including talks by Atty. Dexter Vaughn T. Mancao and Atty. Don Victorio N. Advincula IV on navigating the legal profession as new lawyers.
Orientations were also conducted on IBP Membership Dues and the Chapter Mortuary Fund by Treasurer Atty. Cid Benedict D. Pabalan, Legal Aid services by Legal Aid Chairman Atty. Benedict D. Ontal, ULAS requirements by ULAS Point Person Atty. Ryan James N. Amistad, and Notarial Practice by RTC Clerk of Court Francisco M. Campaner.
The program likewise introduced upcoming Sports–Palaro activities through Director Atty. Menachem T. Carpio, and featured an orientation on the Davao Lady Lawyers Association (DALLAS) by its President, Atty. Ma. Mercedita R. Barrios-Talaver, before concluding with closing remarks by Auditor Atty. Robert Hernandez.
